Jennifer Hudson meets up with Amber Riley as her Effie White character backstage in London

Jennifer Hudson teamed up backstage with Amber Riley on Thursday in a union of film and stage Dreamgirls stars.

The 35-year-old Chicago native won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Effie Smith in the 2006 musical drama Dreamgirls.

Amber, 31, began playing Effie in November 2016 in the West End debut of the production at The Savoy Theatre.

Jennifer opted for the casual chic look in a grey off-the-shoulder T-shirt dress and black jacket.

The American Idol star completed her look with tan fur-lined boots.

Jennifer also posed with Amber's co-stars Liisi LaFontaine who plays Deena Jones and Asmeret Ghebremichael who plays Lorrell Robinson.

Asmeret, Amber and Liisi posed side by side and struck a striking resemblance to images from the movie of Anika Noni Rose as Lorrell and Beyoncé Knowles as Deena.

Amber performed a song from the Dreamgirls production last December at the Royal Variety Performance in London in the presence of Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Selena Gomez & Other Stars premiere for the series she produced 13 Reasons Why

The pop star is the executive producer of the new 13-part Netflix series and was instrumental in bringing the book by the same name to the screen.
In 2008, the star's mom Mandy Teefey gave her the novel by Jay Asher and, after loving the young adult mystery, optioned the story rights.

To celebrate the almost decade-long process, the Hands To Myself star wore a yellow iridescent dress which glowed gold in the light.
The strapless bandage number featured a tulip skirt which finished just above the star's news.

Selena accessorized the look with a pair of nude heels and some perfectly color coordinated circular drop earrings.
The songstress wore her dark locks gelled back against her head revealing her tiny 'g' tattoo behind her ear. The piece of ink is in honor of her younger sister Gracie.
The book and the series is rather dark, with tale revolving around a young woman, Hannah (played by Katherine Langford), who takes her own life.

Will Smith sends fans wild as he shares more snaps from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion

The internet went into meltdown as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air cast reunited for the first time in two decades.
And show star Will Smith, 48, continued to feed the frenzy as he shared more snaps from the lunch date in Malibu.

Taking to Facebook on Wednesday, he shared a selfie from the outing, which he sweetly captioned: 'Lunch with my BFF's... I missed my Uncle Phil today'.

His comments were made in tribute to James Avery - who played Uncle Phil in the sitcom and sadly died in 2013.

Fans immediately called for a reboot of the beloved 90s series, so will no doubt be devastated to discover that the group had reunited solely for a charitable cause.

Karyn Parsons, aka 'Hilary', revealed that they had been bought for the day by a British family who bid to have lunch with the cast as part of a charity auction.

Each of the stars donated their time, whilst the money raised went to Parsons' charity, Sweet Blackberry.
The organization spreads 'little known stories of African Americans to children'.
Parsons refused to tell TMZ how much the British family paid for the pleasure of the cast's company.

Fans had gone wild when Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Carlton Banks, shared the first snap of the cast reuniting on Monday.

The actor, 45, shared a picture of the on-screen family enjoying a day at Nobu in Malibu. His wife Angela was also present.

The nostalgic picture showed Tatyana Ali, 38, who played Ashley Banks, looking glamorous in a silver dress as she stood next to a suited Alfonso.

He linked arms with Karyn Parsons, 50, who played pretty but ditsy Hilary Banks.
Main character Will Smith, 48,- who played himself, stood beaming in the middle as he held onto Daphne Etta Maxwell, 68, who played his on-screen mum Vivian after taking over the role from Janet Huburt in season three.
And Joseph Marcell, who played beloved Geoffrey the butler was also in the spot.

So Good To See Them Come Together... Now If they Invited Janet Hurburt To Have her Neffe Moment (From Dream girls) I'm all in!!!!!

Thom Yorke and new girlfriend Dajana hit Miami, 3 months after the death of his ex partner

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke and girlfriend Dajana Roncione enjoyed a sunny day date Tuesday.
The 48-year-old-rocker and his 32-year-old new flame hit the Miami shore before the musician kicks off a tour in the Florida metropolis later this week

The outing comes three months after the death of his ex partner of 23 years, Dr Rachel Owen, who passed away aged 48, following a battle with cancer.

Thom was typically understated, rocking a slate colored tee with loose athletic shorts as he made his way through the sand with his Italian girlfriend.
Dajana looked ready for the beach, donning jean cut offs and a belly-baring black top.

The Italian actress ditched her sandals, preferring to tread through the warm sand as she and the Fitter, Happier songwriter found their beach chairs.

After settling down in their sunny spots, the couple got down to their swimsuits. The OK Computer artist covered his shaggy hair with a cap while hiding his eyes behind mirrored glasses and sporting a hearty layer of salt and pepper scruff on his face.

Dajana looked 'molto bella', flaunting her warm olive skin while sunning in a stylish black swimsuit.

Her generous bust curved from her top while the starlet showed off just a hint of cheek from her full-cut bikini bottoms.

Yorke has been dating the much younger Italian actress for several months. She is the first person the star has dated since splitting from his long-term former partner Rachel Owen in 2005, after 23 years together.

Actress Michelle Williams In New York Streets

Actress Michelle Williams with her signature blonde pixie  blended in with the Big Apple crowd on Tuesday in a chic ensemble when she hailed a taxi ride after an outing.

The Dawson's Creek actress enjoyed a conversation with a friend while dressed appropriately for walking in comfort.
She had on a pair of distressed brown boots that featured large scuff marks around the toebbox and sides, as well as a stacked heel.
The sleek footwear was complemented by a green parka with a furry collar, a brown turtleneck and jeans.

Large sunglasses concealed her eyes, and a slash of glossy pink lipstick added a pop of color. Her hair was also on-trend and styled in an edgy platinum pixie cut.
After visiting the Jimmy Hendrix studio, the Brokeback Mountain actress hailed her own cab ride.

"Public Housing Unit" Possibly To Be Chicago's Hot New TV Series

A fully independent television series, shot entirely in Chicago.
It's the natural next step for Chicago's burgeoning television production scene, which has been buoyed by wildly successful major network shows EMPIRE, CHICAGO FIRE, CHICAGO PD, CHICAGO MED, etc..
The PUBLIC HOUSING UNIT, from co-creator Angie Gaffney and a talented troupe of collaborators, and they're beginning their twelve-day shoot all over the city as we speak.
On top of being a potentially landmark series for Chicago, PUBLIC HOUSING UNIT is also a critical next step for Gaffney's production company Black Apple Media. "PUBLIC HOUSING UNIT has been developed, written, financed, cast, and shot entirely in Chicago and this is also the first independent TV show that Black Apple has developed from the beginning," Gaffney told SCREEN. "We've been working closely with Digital Hydra and Chicago Media Angels to get it off the ground... Chicago Film Office who has been instrumental in supporting production."
Gaffney continued, "We're thrilled with this script, which speaks to socially and culturally relevant topics, especially here in Chicago."
PUBLIC HOUSING UNIT tells the story of three Chicago cops butting heads with cop, criminal, and politician alike in an endless crusade to protect the citizens of Chicago Public Housing in the late 1980s.
The pilot stars Kamal Angelo BoldenChris Boykin, Ira Amyx, featuring EMPIRE's Antoine McKay, Steppenwolf ensemble member Caroline Neff, former SIRENS star Emily Peterson, Cedric Young, Vonzell Scott,  DuShon Monique Brown

It also features David "Dion" Collier.

Directed by Chicago native Dan Willis, created by Patrick Wimp, Angie Gaffney and Ted Reilly of Chicago Media Angels.
