Tyler Perry's Boo! A Madea Halloween beats out Inferno at box office

Boo! A Madea Halloween - the latest installment in Tyler Perry's Madea comedy franchise - beat out Inferno to top the North American box office for a second weekend, industry estimates showed Sunday.

The Lionsgate comedy, in which Perry reprises his role as a tough-talking matriarch, took in $16.7 million for a total of $52 million, box office tracker Exhibitor Relations said.

The filmmaker earlier this month told that he felt the comedy was perfectly timed for release amid the heat of election season and other ongoing societal issues.

Jennifer Aniston donned a pair of aviator-framed spectacles for the Office Christmas Party panel at EW PopFest on Sunday.

In the yuletide comedy, Jennifer plays Carol Vanstone, the visiting CEO of a massive tech company who has violent tendencies.

T.J. Miller, who plays Carol's hard-partying brother Clay, told EW: 'The second I met Jen, if I can call you Jen, she immediately put me in a headlock.'

Like all of her characters, Carol happens to look and dress exactly like Aniston herself. 

Office Christmas Party - hitting UK/US theaters December 9 - also marks the fifth onscreen collaboration between the Friends alum and Jason Bateman.

Clearly delighted to be given the honour of closing down the venue, Gwen took to the Meadows' stage one last time with aplomb, belting out a string of her hits matched only be her high-tempo performance.

And it was a case of a job well done as they returned with Phillip dressed as Michael Keaton's Beetlejuice and Holly as Winona Ryder's Lydia Deetz.

Phillip got completely into character as he wore a black and white striped suit, complete with a zany green wig and a full face of make-up.
